In honor of World Water Day, we invite you to a day of stewardship and fun at the Sonoma Coast. Help remove the debris and garbage brought to our beaches by this year’s extraordinary floods on the Russian River.
Cleanup supplies provided. Check the weather and wear layered clothing.
Help reduce plastic waste by bringing your own refillable water bottle. Water provided.
Organized in coorperation with Clean River Alliance, Russian Riverkeeper, B-Rad Foundation, Surfrider Foundation, and Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods.
Two meetup locations:
Goat Rock State Beach, Jenner Enter at Goat Rock State Beach, turn left at the bottom of the hill and park at the base of Goat Rock. Volunteers at this locations will have the option of cleaning up Goat Rock Beach and the Russian River mouth, or Driftwood Beach north of Jenner.
Salmon Creek Beach Enter at the Bodega Dunes Campground entrance of Sonoma Coast State Beach. Drive all the way to the end of the road, to the parking lot at the top of the boardwalk. State Park entry fees will be waived for cleanup volunteers.
